Are there smoking areas?

We do not restrict smoking of traditional, vapes or e-cigarettes to certain areas other than outside. There is a substantial covered seating area on the terrace where you are free to smoke in the case of bad weather, and ash trays and sand buckets dotted around the outside areas of the venue.

Is Brookfield Barn wheelchair-accessible?

Yes, from the main car park there is a well-signposted step free access route to the main wedding areas. There is also a wheelchair lift between the walkway around the barn and the terrace. If the couple let us know in advance, we can reserve a parking spot nearest the entrance for any guests who might require the step-free access route. For any blue badge holders, we may be able to arrange a parking spot in the supplier car park, which is even closer to the step-free entrance. Please ask the couple to arrange this with us in advance. There is an accessible toilet, plus an accessible twin guestroom on the ground floor complete with a large wet room and grab rails for overnight guests. A member of the events team will always be on hand to assist guests navigate the main wedding areas and to use the wheelchair lift, wherever needed.

Is there reliable WiFi onsite?

Yes, while we don't benefit from excellent mobile phone signal, there is strong complimentary WiFi available to all guests and suppliers. The login details are available at the bar and from any member of staff.

Is there reliable phone signal at Brookfield Barn?

Vodafone receives high coverage here, unfortunately a lot of other networks are patchy, but we provide strong complimentary WiFi to all guests and suppliers as well as a free to use taxi phone.

Is there somewhere to wait if we arrive early on the wedding day?

Before the venue opens, there is nowhere available for early guests to wait. Brookfield Barn does not operate as a hotel and is not open to the public. If you do need to arrive in the area early, there are a host of pubs and cafes in the nearby villages, as well as Hillier Garden Centre and Nymans National Trust Gardens. More information available on this on the Guests' Information page. We always endeavour to get the venue open as early as possible and before the couple's scheduled guest arrival time, but cannot guarantee this and unfortunately will have to ask any early guests to remain in the car park until we're ready to open.

What parking is available at Brookfield Barn?

Our main car park is connected to the venue entrance and serves 60 cars, plus an overflow car park. We do encourage all guests to consider car sharing arrangements or taxis. We recommend a number of local taxi firms here. Should you wish to leave your car overnight, please register your intention with the couple so they can let us know. No cars can be left in the overflow parking area and all cars left overnight must be collected by 10am the following morning, or could be subject to an unauthorised parking fine or clamping - although we've never had to enforce this.

What time does Brookfield Barn close?

The venue closes at midnight. Last orders at 11:15pm; the bar closes at 11:30pm; and music turns off at 11:45pm. We recommend any taxis are booked for 11:45pm and well in advance. Due to our rural location, finding a last minute taxi can be particularly tricky. We recommend a number of local taxi firms here.
