The Prep Room
The perfect sanctuary on the morning of your wedding day
From hair and make up, to enjoying a glass of bubbly with your nearest and dearest and capturing some gorgeous photos. This airy, bright attic room with views over the exclisve grounds becomes your haven while you get ready to say 'I Do'.
Our dedicated prep room is entirely included in the venue hire charge and available from 9am. It was completed in 2019 and is fitted with 3 large mirrors, hair & make-up chairs, a shower room and Bluetooth speakers.
Your hair & make-up artists are, of course, welcome to come and work in the prep room - and we're sure they'll love all the natural light.
The events team will be taking care of your suppliers and the set up downstairs whilst you enjoy getting ready for your special day ahead. We'll pop up and update you on how everything's coming together, then in the hour before your ceremony, we'll take you to your meeting with the Registrars and last but not least, arrange your aisle entrances.
If you choose to marry at a church or elsewhere on the day, you're still able to use the prep room beforehand.
Good things come in small packages - there is a occupancy limit of 8 people in the prep room due to fire reguslations, which does include suppliers, and the earliest access time is always 9am.
If you think you'll have more than 8 people in your getting-ready group or need to start earlier than 9am, but would still like to make use of the prep room, we suggest:
Getting ready all together elsewhere, and you arriving at the prep room about an hour before your ceremony for finishing touches (perhaps putting on a dress) and photos with the person walking you down the aisle.
If you think your hair/make-up artists will mean you exceed the 8 person occupancy, but would still like to use the prep room, we suggest:
Splitting your group, with those not having hair/make-up onsite getting ready elsewhere, and joining you after your suppliers have left (typically 1 hour before your ceremony) for photos and a glass of bubbly.
Please note that unfortunately there is no ability for people to wait elsewhere in the venue and switch in and out of the prep room (except from 1 hour before the ceremony when the venue opens to guests).
