What are the usual timings for a wedding day at Brookfield Barn?

This is by no means a prescribed timetable, but a rough indicator for the average day. If holding your ceremony here, West Sussex Registrars offer ceremonies on the hour. 1pm or 2pm tends to work best to fit everything else in without a rush, but ceremonies have also been held as early as 12pm and late as 4pm. The prep room is available from 9am, if you wish to get ready there. Suppliers can arrive as early as 9am to start setting up in the barn, the terrace and bar are available from 11am for set up.
12:00: Venue opens for guest arrival 13:00: Onsite ceremony starts 13:30: Photos, welcome drinks and canapés while caterers prepare the barn (90 mins - 2 hours) 14:00: Guest rooms open 15:15: Guests take seats for the wedding breakfast 15:30: Wedding Breakfast starts & speeches (2.5 - 3 hours, based on a 3 course meal for 100 guests with 30 mins of speeches) 18:15: Wedding Breakfast ends, guests turn out to the bar and terrace 19:00: Evening guests arrive 20:00: Cake cut & first dance in the barn 21:00: Evening food is served 23:15: Last orders at the bar 23:30: Bar closes 23:45: Music finishes & taxis 00:00: Venue closes

How does set up work?

Set up for your wedding can work two different ways depending if there is a wedding the day before yours or not. No wedding the day before yours You'll be able to come onsite between 2-5pm the day before your wedding, dropping off drinks, decor, dresses and anything else you need to bring. You can get involved with the set up as much or as little as you'd like - the events team will be on hand to help and to chat through last minute questions. The only things we can't accept onsite the day before your wedding are fresh flowers, cake or other perishables. Wedding the day before yours You'll be able to drop off your drink and decorations with us around 4:30pm, and the events team will be responsible for setting up your small decor the following morning and will coordinate your suppliers responsible for any other bits - i.e. flowers, venue styling and cake. If you have any other questions around set up, get in touch with us and the team will be happy to talk it through, as it does vary according to what decor and elements you are planning.
